GrazeMe began in the most unexpected way—born from a dream on a quiet Sunday night in July 2020 during a global pandemic. Within a week, that dream transformed into a reality as GrazeMe launched as a fully-fledged business. It was the midst of a challenging time; after working for the first three months of the lockdown in my corporate career, I was furloughed, and uncertainty loomed over my future. But instead of waiting for answers, I took a leap into the unknown, driven by passion and a vision to create something special.
During those next two lockdowns, I poured my heart into refining the brand, perfecting our range of grazing boxes, and building connections. Each day was filled with dedication, creativity, and a relentless pursuit to bring beauty and taste together in a way that was both memorable and unique. I didn't know if I had a job to return to, but I knew I had something worth fighting for.
Our offerings grew as I experimented and expanded, creating boards for every occasion—whether for two or ten people. From fresh fruit platters to delightful breakfast spreads, savoury lunches to indulgent sweet treats, and everything in between, our creations were designed to be more than just food. We crafted brie cakes, tiered wedding show-stopper cheese cakes, and individual grazing cups and boxes, each tailored to bring joy to our customers.
And then came the moment of freedom, the beginning of our grazing tables! What is a grazing table? Imagine a buffet, but pimped!—food that isn't just placed but artfully arranged to intertwine and spill over in a visually stunning display. It’s food that doesn’t just taste delicious but looks incredible, inviting guests to pick and nibble with delight.
By September 2021, it was clear this dream was growing beyond what one person could handle. Lucy joined as my first employee, and together, we set out to take GrazeMe to new heights. Today, we are a team of nine talented "grazing artists," capable of creating up to 15 tables in a single weekend during the peak of summer.
In these four years of building GrazeMe, I've learned more than I ever could have imagined. I've discovered that I am more capable, braver, and more creative than I ever thought possible. I’ve learned that growth is never a straight path and that resilience is key. Most importantly, I've found a tribe of fellow business owners who understand the unique challenges we face. While family and friends provide support, there is nothing like the camaraderie of those who truly "get it."
GrazeMe is more than a business; it’s a testament to dreaming big, taking chances, and turning uncertainty into something beautiful, delicious, and unforgettable.
We’d love to show you our world, if you’d like to know more, message me.
Love, Holly x
